Gold Coast Netball Carnival
Any School or Club team of school age is welcome at the Gold Coast Netball Carnival. This is not an elite event; all teams are welcome regardless of their playing ability.
The standard of netball is always high and despite the quality and competitiveness of matches, the Carnival spirit and philosophy has always been evident. Our event is a week long Netball Carnival focused on Spirit and Sportsmanship.
We have a proud 20 year history with over 60 teams competing at our carnival.
GOLD COAST NETBALL CARNIVAL
The Gold Coast Netball Carnival is a youth sporting event held on the Gold Coast each July. Our event is a week long Netball Carnival focused on Spirit and Sportsmanship. We have a proud 20 year history with over 60 teams competing at our carnival.
There is no overall champion at our Carnival – one deserving group each year is presented with the coveted Spirit Award, decided on a vote of all participants: schools, clubs, referees and organisers. There is also a Barbarian Award appointed to one player from each team.
The objectives of the Carnival are for players and officials to have a wonderful opportunity to experience a great week of sun, surf, sand and shopping as well as some great Netball against a variety of national and international teams.
The fabulous Gold Coast Theme Parks, the annual Beach Games and the Carnival Dinner combining rugby and netball players are always popular.
The carnival is played at the Southport Carrara Netball Association which provides the perfect backdrop for our event with its world class facilities.
Come and test your skills against national and international teams whilst visiting Australia’s premier theme parks and world class beaches.

SPIRIT & SPORTSMANSHIP DINNER
A wonderful night where the rugby and netball players converge to celebrate the highlights of the weeks Carnival action. The night showcases team performances and will finish with a bit of dancing!

Teams check out of their Gold Coast accommodation and return home.
Some teams may opt for a few extra days on the Gold Coast or elsewhere and choose to play an additional game or two in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or other nearby destinations.
VENUE
The Southport Carrara Netball Association (SCNA) will play host to the Gold Coast Netball Carnival. SCNA boasts marvellous facilities that contribute to making the Netball Carnival the enjoyable event it is year on year.
Located on the beautiful Gold Coast, SCNA is around the corner from some of the country’s favourite theme parks such as Dream World, Movie World and Sea World, water parks like Wet ‘n’ Wild, and only 5 minutes from superb beaches such as Surfers Paradise.
